The ontological argument for the existence of God deals with the nature of reality and existence, and attempts a proof for the reality of God based on the definition of God's being.
The basic argument has taken many forms, but here is the core argument: 1. By definition, God is the greatest being in every way. Nothing greater than God can be thought. 2. It is greater to exist than not to exist. 3. Therefore, God must exist. What do you think of this argument? Would it be effective? Can we see evidence of this argument in the Bible? |
