JesusOwns.com Site Rules

The mission of this site is to provide a Christian themed discussion forum, Christian blogging, and to promote interaction between the saved and the secular.

The community manager will try his best to fairly administer this site for all users and to enforce our rules based on the teachings of Jesus and other scripture.

As the General Rule, you may post almost anything you want on this site in an appropriate section.

Exceptions to the General Rule are listed below. The exceptions are based on the idea that while we live in an "X" rated world, this is a Christian site, and all users are expected to communicate here at a "PG" level or better.

All users must agree to the Site Rules as a condition of using this site.

1. Profanity: The profanity filter is enabled on this site. We believe that all people can communicate most effectively without using the "F" word and similar terms. Please do not attempt to subvert the profanity filter with creative spelling.

2. Christian Advocacy: You may not make posts here that mock or are intentionally offensive toward Christian Beliefs or our Lord, but you are free to challenge Christian teaching and scripture in a respectful manner.

3. Porn: Never post or link any “not safe for work” or “NSFW” image on this site, especially any pornographic, obscene, fetish, or explicit medical pictures, photos, or other images. Do not post or link pictures here that would not be published in mainstream magazines.

4. Private Information: Please don't post any photo of another person on this site without that person's consent, unless you can prove that same photo is viewable from another publicly accessible URL. Please also never post any real life information about another person on this site, if that information tends to reveal the other person's name, address, place of employment, social security number, phone number, or similar identifying information, unless you can also prove that same information is posted with permission or is publicly available.

5. Physical Violence: Never, ever make any express or implied threat of physical violence against anyone on this site.

6. Criminal Law: Do not solicit criminal activity or post any information that is illegal or if used would result in a crime. Never link to pages containing this type of information.

7. Civil Law: Do not post anything that violates anyones copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights.

8. Hate Speech: Do not use hate speech or fighting words on this site against any person or group of people. This site has a zero tolerance policy against racist comments.

9. Harmful Items: We've enabled the ability to upload graphics and other files here. Do not upload any file that could be harmful to this site or to another person's computer, such as any file containing a virus.

10. Advertising: Please do not post commercial advertisements (offers to sell merchandise or services) on this site without permission. You may link your personal or business website, church, or anything else in your signature, provided your link doesn’t otherwise violate our Site Rules.

11. Spam and Harassment: Please do not “spam” or make off topic replies in any post on this site if doing that will disrupt or derail a discussion or argument. Occasional off-topic social remarks are permitted, and should be expected in all threads, provided the effect of those remarks doesn’t unduly disrupt or derail the thread. Purposeful derailment of discussions by any method will not be tolerated on this site.

12. Trolling: "Trolling" is not welcome on this site, and is defined as “any attempt to be unduly annoying, even if technically obeying the Site Rules." Just because the Site Rules don't specifically disallow particular conduct doesn't mean it’s allowed.

13. Multiple Accounts: Please do not register more than one account on this site without advance permission from the community manager.

14. Imposter Posting: You are allowed to post anonymously on this site, but you are not allowed to create a false identity for the purpose of posing as another person or misleading others.

15. Sig Files and Graphics: Please limit sig files to 150 pixels tall by 600 pixels wide, and optimize all graphics to enhance the viewability and reduce the bandwidth for pageviews on this site.
