I think the basis for objection to stem cell research by many Christians involves the fear that fetuses could be "farmed" or grown in some type of cloning factory to provide the necessary stem cells.
I have absolutely no problem with stem cell research, provided the stem cells are not from aborted fetuses. I don't see how anyone can object to stem cell research from non-aborted fetuses for any reason, religious or otherwise.

I would never want to see tem farmed either. Or created simply for the purposes of aborting them for research.

I'm personally not in favor of abortions at all, but that is another discussion in another thread, so I won't beat that horse. I don't see anything wrong with stem cell research on stillborn babies or using cord blood from willing mothers, etc. I think there should be legal ramifications attached to it, and that some type of waiver should be signed, as there is with the organ donation process, when stem cells are donated to "science" or "research." The same penalties should apply to illegal stem cells then as apply to black market organs.
Just my thoughts. Mr. Harris |

Obama reversed the Bush policy. Scientists can now go back to researching fetal stem cells. A good thing imho, as long as it is HEAVILY regulated.
