Expelled: no intelligence allowed

Just saw this today and thought it was pretty good. I thought maybe he carried the relationship between darwinism and nazism a little too far, but i think he was using it as a way to wake ppl up to wat /could/ happen, no matter how isolated the incident.

in anycase, what did everyone think of this documentary if you saw it? or heard about it?

Its a documentary about ben stein trying to show that there is a movement in the science community thats very against intelligent design when there shouldnt be. Science is 'not free to choose anymore' he says.

Pretty much he says that its wrong to completely ignore that fact that intelligent design /may/ be the answer. He never once says that it is (although hes obviously biased), just that it should be allowed to be considered. Scientists are afraid to write papers on it because theyll get fired and laffed at.

In one interview he was talking to Richard Dawkins (Richard Dawkins - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, writer of 'The God Delusion') who is an avid evolutionist who has taken many many stands against intelligent design actualy said that intelligent design /may/ be the cause of life.

Stein talks about how Hitler's basis for what he did was Darwinism (he made a point to say that Darwinism does not necessarily lead to Nazism, but to have Nazism, you certainly have to have Darwinism).

Stein associates the 'wall' thats been put up by the science community between 'evolution' and 'intelligent design' with the berlin wall and the control of ideas.

It was pretty interesting i thought. The documentary also makes a point of saying that intelligent design does not equate to religion, which most people wont aggree with. Im not sure how they would argue its not, but thats not my problem lol.

I'll have to look for this, it looks interesting. Ben Stein is an interesting guy.

i saw a dateline or something with ben steins kid and how his son was addcited to everquest 1 lol

I am really looking forward to this movie. Unfortunately they come to Norway months after release in the US.
