Default Da Vinci Code

So did this book or movie bother you?

It actually made me open up my beliefs somewhat to accept the possibility that Jesus did marry. I can't really think of a good reason why he HAD to be single...

I don't believe Jesus married, he was pure in every sense of the word, he was the lamb of God in order for him to fulfil the destiny of the sacrifice for all our sins for all eternity, there's alot of things that you just have to accept on faith, and in the earlier ages, he was most likely just growing up, playing with brother john etc, then going about teaching etc etc

The movie and the book both said that he made up lots of the 'facts' portrayed in the movie. I didnt really have a problem other than most people treating the parts he made up as the parts he researched and could back up with facts....

there is no sin of married a woman or be faith full, I would rather say it would proterited him even more human and faith full toward the scrip, in the same way being single for is adulthood can be ask question about as well

Isn't marriage the purest form of commitment though?

I mean, I just don't see what's so wrong about Jesus ( who was human ) marrying another human, or how that makes him impure.

Also 9-30 is a long time, I don't believe that he never had interest in girls, or even guys for that matter ( though given the time frame I am almost positive he was into girls! lol )

What I don't understand is how the bible tries to make Jesus seem so human, but at the same time makes him unaffected, or immune to regular human tendencies.

If anything I think the girls would be afraid of Jesus, maybe he had rejection issues?

No seriously I just think Jesus had to of had some woman in his life that caught his attention, or one that he cared for a lot, besides his mother of course. It's human nature.

If he WAS pure, and obeyed every rule of Man, as God commands us to, he would have married. You could not teach in the Temples of those times as a Single man. Marriage was basically a forced rite that every man must go through. Jesus would have partaken in this as well as his disciples in order to do what they did.

Could you elaborate more please?

From briefly reading it, I assume it means that although Jesus was human, he still was God too?

I admit I do not know too much about Christian history, just stuff that I've read when I was in 2nd-8th Grade ( went to a private school heh. )

It was a meeting in which the "leaders" of Christianity decided Christ's "divinity." Most of what you read in the Bible is a watered down, abridged version of what was WRITTEN at the time about Him. Most of the text have since been destroyed.

yes he was human but not in the way of most humans, he was put here to fulfill a prophecy, and other humans didn't work miracles either, so if my bible reading and talking with my pastor about this particular topic is correct, Jesus didn't marry Mary or any other woman from my understanding.
